Care and Instructions:
Instructions:
To use the rest, remove the rest body and the included instrument mounting forks from the packaging. Thread the mounting forks into the instrument until they touch lightly against the bottom of the body . Be careful not to over-tighten the feet, since this could damage the body of the Neptune rest. Carefully slide the rest on the underside of your instrument so that the deep curve is aligned with the player’s shoulder. Some trial and error may be necessary to find the right set of threaded feet alignment to fit your instrument and comfort level. The attachment feet can also be rotated counter-clockwise to increase the height of either or both sides of the rest.
To store the rest, gently slide it off of the instrument and store it in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight and heat (such as your instrument case).

Care Guide:
Keep the Neptune Rest out of direct sunlight and avoid exposure to extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.
The Neptune Rest can be cleaned by wiping it with a damp cloth. (For stubborn stains or grease, a cloth with a little rubbing alcohol can be used.)
If the foam pad on the Neptune Rest becomes worn, it can be removed and replaced. Additional foam pads can be ordered from Vulcan Print.
Replacing the foam pad:
To replace the foam pad when it has become worn, remove the old pad material by peeling or lightly scraping it, taking care not to damage the Neptune Shoulder Rest body. Use rubbing alcohol to remove as much of the old adhesive as possible from the body of the Neptune Rest. Dry fit the new pad on the body to ensure you know how to orient it. Peel back a small portion of the paper from the adhesive backing on one end of the foam pad. Align the foam pad in position on the rest body and lightly tack the pad in place with the exposed portion of the adhesive backing. Make sure the alignment is good along the length of the pad. Slowly peel the rest of the paper from the adhesive backing, ensuring the foam pad is aligned with the rest as you move down the length of the rest. Once the pad is set in place, firmly press it against the rest body to set the adhesive. Over time the adhesive will grip the body of the Neptune Rest more firmly.
